Song List

I'm really hoping that he hasn't figured out my blog yet...
If YOU, and you know who you are, find this, then please don't read it!
I'm begging you, please. DO NOT READ THIS..

If you read this, then I will know and you have to tell me what my surprise is.

Anyway, for all my other readers, what do you think of this song list so far?

Anne, if you see this, call me.

Prudence B

hello again. :)

I suddenly realized that I need to blog more often.

But who has time?

My personal life story has become eventful once again. Which means, you probably don't want to read about it.

But anyway, here's my new favourite video, and yet another reason why Google trumps Yahoo.

Let's hope that works.

Anyway,
I've realized that this generation is a lot more dorky than any generations before us. For five main reasons. Now, let's see if I can remember them.
...
I don't.
See, I was thinking about this in the shower. I can remember three of the reasons (the new Star Trek movie, MLIA, and Big Bang Theory) but I don't remember the other two.

But whatever.
I personally think that their are a LOT more dorks than there were before.
I mean, it used to be really nerdy to act weird and to do certain things like watch Star Wars or stuff like that. But now, it seems freakishly popular.

It makes me kind of sad b/c I always thought I was the original dork.
But that's okay... The more, the merrier. :)

xoxo,
Prudence B. ;]

Fairy he-males with vaginal wings

With the title being my own personal MLIA, below are my favourites:

Today, I was at work. We had a seemingly British customer come in, and he and I got into a conversation about where we were from. He mentioned that although he has a British accent (he's from Liverpool), his mother was Irish. Jokingly, I asked if he was also part leprechaun, as he was rather short with flaming red hair. He winked at me, reaching behind my ear to pull out a gold coin. I will never doubt the existence of leprechauns again. MLIA.

Today while reading laws for the province of British Columbia, I came across one that stated it is illegal to kill a Sasquatch. I'm glad that we even protect our mythical creatures up here in Canada. MLIA. Go Canada. :)

Today, I realized that I still unconsciously hold on to my childhood tendency to run, leap and dive onto my bed rather than just getting in because I don't want the boogeyman to grab my feet. I'm almost 16, and it seems like a legitimate method of prevention to me. MLIA... Me too! :)

With love,

Prudence B.

PS: If anyone wants to try and guess at what happened that relates to the title, go ahead. :)
Cause I'm not telling until I hear a couple of good guesses.

Cute & Confused

Just a random thought.

He called me because he wanted to hear the sound of my voice.
He reminded me of someone I miss and I've been missing for a while.

There's all this fighting.
And in its midst, there's this blooming love.

There are all these lies.
And in its midst, jealousy and regret.

There is this sweetness.
And in its midst, the bitter taste of what has happened.

He may just be a substitute.
But he may be the real thing.
Or he may just be the same.

Prudence B.

Just a few examples of WHY:

Midgets are...
"If you had to guess, as a species, would midgets be more or less flammable than humans?"

If your life..
"If your life had a face, I would punch it. I would punch your life in the face"

David is..
"David is standing behind Ashley and Ashley is standing behind David."
"David is to be returned to Italy as quickly as possible."

Anne is...
"Anne is a speed freak."
"Anne is a man."

Megan is..

"Megan is a man."
"Megan is mean."
"Megan is hot."

Nuit Blanche

Can you guess what I just got home from?
It's pretty obvious, dontcha think?

Lol. Nuit blanche: twas a blast.
I went with Ellen and Angelina, and we had so much fun.
We went to a bunch of stuff that we didn't really find too entertaining but it doesn't matter.
We went to the ROM, and we first went into the gift shop.
We spent a good ten minutes in the gift shop, just looking at the cool environmental stuff - ie: liquid cardboard, cardboard chairs, books, t-shirts, etc.
So, we're about to leave, thinking, We've had our fun, when the person at the door is like: "You didn't see the exhibit yet." So, we go upstairs and there's an exhibit with a bunch of pictures from the past vanity fairs.

Twas pretty cool, admittedly.
We also saw some dance lessons, and the shoe museum, some astronomical stuff, the Royal Conservatory - cute strawberry playing some weird instrument, and some other stuff. We only ended up going to 7 places in total, I think. Here's why.

We were walking out of the Shoe Museum, going towards Yonge, when we see this ghost. So, we're all like: "OMGSH! Let's follow the ghost!" Turns out, there were a bunch of people following the ghost, which was following a bus, which was playing music. And let's just say, they weren't exactly the best kind of people. So, we figure, we'll just walk with them until we get to the street we're looking for. Then, they head into Science Camp. We just about died with laughter. It was HYSTERICAL.

So, the moral of the evening was simply: Do not follow ghosts.

I got a few pictures, but I probably won't post them.
xoxo,
Prudence B.

PS: I wore heels, which probably wasn't smart, but they're new and I love em. So now, the balls of my feet are screaming in anger and pain. But oh well... Twas a great night. :)

Weekend

On happier notes (compared to my last two posts), I spent a beautiful Friday & Saturday at my beautiful cottage.

The sky was blue, the sun was shining, there was a beautiful sunset on Friday night, the fire was exquisite, the sunlight dappled, I saw a deer - twas just wonderful, all round.

The water is so warm. David and Bryan took me for a swim out in the deeper water, so I could dive off the boat - greatly appreciated - and I swam back to the beach. It was such a lovely swim. I didn't really like the feeling of not being able to see bottom, but the water was murky from the water levels lowering.

Heather and I went for a walk, and it was beautiful!
We started out wearing sweaters, because it was really windy on our side of the island. But once we got around to the South side, it was insanely warm so we ended up carrying around our sweaters like dorks.

We had planned to walk all the way around, but we went to Sunset Point then missed the turn off for the West Side of the island, so we just cut back through the shady middle path. There was a tree that had fallen over due to winds, so we had some fun climbing it. It was a nice break from walking in the scorching heat. Unfortunately, I didn't re-tan.

Unfortunately (x2) we had to come home today so David & I could do our homework, so after we cleaned up and such we came back. We even brought the boat in. :( I really wish summer was longer, but what could you do?

Hopefully, next weekend, we'll go up again.
I miss the island already.
I miss the peace and quiet that comes with it.
I miss the stars that make you feel so small.
I miss the air that you can breath and taste and smell without choking.
I miss the trees that make you feel at home.
I miss the smell of smoke from the fire pit that was just enough.
I miss the beach and the soft, relaxing sand.
I miss the wacky islanders that make you feel like family.

I just miss it, in general.
I miss home.

Smiles,
Prudence.

PS: I feel a bit creeped atm, won't say why, but that doesn't deter me. Oddly enough.

Comments

Somebody recently commented on my post, The Cove, about the documentary that I'd watched and blogged about.
It was a really touching documentary that showed just ONE of the many injustices that MANY different animals go through.
I realize that there are many different animals around the world that are suffering.
I realize that dogs are killed for meat in China and gorillas, along with many other species, are killed in Africa.

But, I also realize that the slaughter of 23,000 dolphins annually is simply insane.

Now, the comment mentioned being a vegan. I am not a vegan, although I would love to be one and I so greatly admire those who are. Unfortunately, my health requires dairy and protein products, where supplements simply won't do. Now, if I ever have the opportunity to support this lifestyle without damaging myself, I will make this commitment.

As to the comment about wearing animal skins, I don't. I've pledged to IFAW, PETA and many other animal rights organizations to not wear furs, pelts, or any animal skins. Also, in regards to zoos, I realize that animals should not be kept in captivity, but zoos are more humane than the killing of dolphins. This is not to say that I support zoos. Raising cattle in a box is also considerably inhumane. However, I get all of my meat from a farm, where the cattle are allowed to graze and live normal, healthy lifestyles, until they have reached maturity and are well into the later years of their lives.

Although dolphins are intelligent, I believe that all animals should be spared and that all animals are intelligent in one way or another. If you will re-read my post, I said that "No creature should have to lose its friends and family; should have to be put through this monstrous annihilation!" I truly and sincerely meant NO CREATURE. Not humans, not dolphins, not any animal.

I simply blogged about this one topic at that specific moment and I don't believe I should be criticized for doing so.

However, thank you for your opinion. :)

Prudence B.

The Cove

I just saw the documentary, The Cove. The movie is about the brutal slaughter of over 23,000 dolphins per year in Japan for the fishing industry. Not only does the movie broadcast the cruelty and the horror of this slaughter, it also sheds light upon the mercury levels within these dolphins - an estimated 2000 ppm (parts per million), when Japan's standards are 0.4 - that are entering the food market and are being eaten unknowingly as most dolphin meat is not marked. The movie did an excellent job of displaying the common misconceptions, the ignorance around the world and the media blockage that is occuring in Japan. Although it was incredibly horrific, these atrocities need to be seen so they can be stopped!

Dolphins are the epitome of beauty, grace and innocence. They are friendly and a bond can easily be created between humans and dolphins. Their wonderful dispositions should not be taken for granted through cruel and tortorous slaughter. To listen to the eerie cries of these amazing creatures was absolute agony. No creature should have to lose its friends and family; should have to be put through this monstrous annihilation!

Please, help stop this now.

Quick Update

Hello readers.

I just thought I'd complain quickly about the date.
It's September 1st! Happy birthday to Nikko, but that means that it's scarily close to school. :(
It makes me sad.
Anyway, I checked my email today and realized that my other blog (www.readthenact.blogspot.com) needed some work and some updating so I'm going through all my emails and well, updating it.

I also made some new webpages to hopefully make it more organized, even if it is a little more work. Oh well.. It's for a good cause, right?

It's a beautiful day outside and I really wish I was at my cottage but I'm going to focus and work hard on this and hopefully, I'll be done in an hour or two then I can go for a lovely walk.

xoxo,
Prudence B.

all the cute things you've done.

-we exchanged music constantly
-we talked about our opinions openly
-the songs you sent me were always about love
-you made me feel stupid then apologized sincerely
-you kept my opinion in mind
-you honoured my opinions, my thoughts and my feelings
-you took time just for me
-you share things with me simply because you want me to see them
-things remind you of me
-you want to share your stories with me
-you explain your weird sense of humour so i don't feel stupid
-you comfort me by making things seem much less complicated than they are
-you make me laugh
-you send me the cutest emoticons
-you talk to me about my interests and try to share them
-you understand what i mean
-you buy me things
-you're concerned for me
-you want me to feel better
-you invited me to events that you share only with me
-you comfort and console me, even if sometimes its just a joke
-you want to have a party, just me and you
-you spoke in old english just to make me laugh
-apologize for not being sensitive when you had nothing to apologize for
-you made me think, especially before bed
-you apologize for making me think
-you apologize for your bad sense of timing
-telling me how to sleep like a baby
-giving me some very helpful, yet humourous, advice
-instructed me to go enjoy your childhood
-you share your thoughts and theories with me
et cetera

i loved every moment.
and now,
its gone.

even though i didnt like how you made yourself seem so much older.
you're only a year older, dude.
i hope you know i took all your advice to heart.
and tried to listen to it as much as possible.
i value your opinion so much.
and honestly, i miss you.
despite the fact that i probably felt we were closer than we were, i miss you.
despite the fact that you pissed me off and i never wanted to talk to you again, i miss you.
despite the fact that you were an outright asshole, i miss you.
i miss the old you.
the you that did all these things..
not the you that would leave me or tell me im behaving foolishly for being concerned.
not the you that would ignore me when i wished you a happy birthday.
not the you that i seem to keep talking to because i miss the old you.
if you talk to him, tell him i miss him.

long time no talk.

hey readers.
well, its been quite a while, hasnt it? :)

ive been busy, i have to say.
i took summer school for english (i didnt fail, im going ahead) and it was actually kinda fun.
the course itself wasnt too interesting, but my teacher was nice and the people in my class were quite the characters.

im not going to go into it too much.
ive been having a great summer.
the weather hasnt been making me feel like ive been missing the cottage.
because, quite frankly, the weather sucks.
harry potter was awesome.
i had a great time at the pickel barrel.
i went to ellen's house today and had a blast.
and cottaging on weekends has been more than enough. (:

plus, its been great that ive been able to keep in touch with people whereas im usually out of contact on an island.
so, c'est cool. (:

anyways, i just thought i would write a quick post.
well, originally i was going to make a list.
but that will be the next post.
so,
au revoir.
Prudence B.

ps: angie, too bad. im changing it. (:

You're a funken batch of cookies!

Alright. So, lately, I've become something close to 10x lamer than usual.
Because I keep saying stupid phrases.
So, I've decided (with Anne) to stop saying omg, fail and like.
Furthermore, we've come up with substitue phrases.
Instead of omg, oh my cheese or oh my cheese covered corn! (back story is further down)
Instead of fail, fizzle.
Instead of like - well, just don't use it.

Also, instead of the f word, fun.
Ie: funking, fun you, etc.

Other phrases include:
Fizzle of titantic proportions
Behemoth win
You funkin fizzle
Son of a batch of cookies!
Climb the ladder of lameness
OR
Climb the lame ladder

That's pretty much it..
Remember to thumbs up my definitions. (:

i thought of the perfect blog but now i dont remember what it was...

i do that so often.
i think of something that sounds so poetically cool and by time i get to write it down, its gone.

oh well.
today was quite a good day.
you know, i didnt really like waking up but i wasnt THAT tired.
plus, ill sleep good tonight.
my mommy made me a deliscious breakfast and i drove all the way to northview - where i left my swimsuit like an idiot!
oh well... hopefully, no one snatched it.
swimming was, well, swimming. got to play some games, it was pretty fun.

it was really nice at lunch, so the majority of our class sat outside.
nice conversation. im trying not to be shy, mais tis hard.
especially when you know that you're most likely never going to see these people again.
well, after tomorrow, that is.

anyways, then i drove home and my mom decided to stop at wendy's.
so i got some fast food for dinner. score.
it was such a beautiful day outside, so i played with canine for a while, cloud watched, took a quick nap on the grass (before canine stepped on my nose), played with canine some more, etc.

then i went on the swings and i was quite impressed that i swung for a half hour standing up without falling. like, actually swinging, back and forth, back and forth, really really high!
it should be a record.

i think canine was sad. after chasing him for about an hour, i was pooped, so i came inside.

but then i went for a walk with v, and we talked and played on the teeter totter.
twas fun, twas fun.

overall, it was a good day. (:
i really had a very lovely evening.
i really want those shoes.

alright
goodnight everyone.
sweet dreams. :)

Jun 12, 2009

thought of the hour

depressed.

a few things are making me feel kinda sad.
not overly sad, but sad enough to dampen my mood.
and i dont feel like studying.
but your only making it worse.

not you, the reader, but the person im talking to.
does anybody feel like listening to my lame ass problems?
theyre not real problems.
i just cant cheer myself up.

maybe somebody else can.
but you (again, the person who im talking to) cant cheer me up like you usually do.
because your making me depressed because i cant cheer you up.
however, i am happy that your talking to me. :)

Tis at Vinnie Zucchini's. It's all you can eat.

Which reminds me... Yesterday, Megola, Chris and I went to go see the Jays vs Angels game.
The game sucked but we had some good times.
You see, my mom knows Scutaro, so he got us some VIP tickets.
Twas tres fab, as we got all you can eat food in the VIP lounge.
Unlimited peanut supplies!
We were tres excited.

Mais, je besoin vais. Au revoir. :)

starlight starbright, i wish i may, i wish i might

well, my adorable little grey tabby - Starlight Puppy Young - just gave me a facial rubdown.
she gives me one occassionally.
she'll sit on the arm of the chair with her front paws on my shoulder and just rub her face against mine. the only trouble is, she gets tangled in my hair.
and she licks the inside of my ear.
and it tickles.
EXTREMELY.

anyways, it was cute.
she stopped when i pushed my hair to the other side.
i guess she likes the tangles.
she's moved on to the shadows that the computer screen casts.
i was going to practice my flute tonight. but my parentals are asleep already so...

btw, for all those who are wondering, NLS was hilarious.
i had so much fun for the 2nd half of the class.
the first half was kinda boring, just review and learning new stuff.
after that, we got to do situations.
Andy, my instructor, is the best.
he creates the FUNNIEST situations in the history of instructing.
it makes class fun. he jokes that we have too much fun and we're not learning.
he turns lifeguarding skills that we need into games.
its so much better than the physical pain of last week.
my body has adapted to it, i think.
no... not possible.

speaking of physical pain, we did our first physical challenge: the brick.
we all passed, so the brick is DONE. FOREVER.
i could not be happier to see it go!

surprisingly, im not really tired.
i think im going to raid someone's blog.
then maybe ill do some homework.
OMG, THIS IS WEIRD.
DID I JUST SAY THAT?!

lol. xoxo,
antiprincess
ps: in case you cant tell, im in a pretty good mood. :)

Apr 2, 2009

procrastinator.

procrastinating.

my tummy is rumbling.
what else is new?

i just drove around all the little streets in my neighbourhood.
passed chaminade.
nothing interesting happened.
my mom says im ready to drive the big streets.
but ive only been driving for like, two weeks.
or is it three?
oh well... maybe ill try driving along keele.
MAYBE.

literacy test was easy.
now, im going to go shower, make a first aid chart - i need to review before friday, and work on my civics.
steak dinner tonight, yummy. :)

PS: Quote from a girl who's name I don't remember in my NLS class:
"I never thought I'd say this, but I wish tomorrow was Monday."
LOL. TOO TRUE!

my eyes still hurt

my eyes still hurt.
from chlorine.
and im majorly hungry.
since i havent eaten since lunch.
but nls wasnt that bad.
other than a minor lip injury, some blisters and hurt knees, im good. :)

i have to practice my whistle-blowing so i can get the high notes.
wow.... i never thought i would apply musical terminology to lifeguarding?

anyways,
au revoir.
i forget what i was gonna type?

Mar 27, 2009

ugggggggggggggh.

NLS sucks.
Officially.
I'm exhausted.
I'm supposed to review.
But I didn't.
So I'm going to bed.

But I'd just like to say:
I am frustrated. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH.
But I'm not going to let it bother me.
So, whatever.
Nope. Still frustrated.
UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH.

PS: I doubt you'll read this, but if you do: Please... Stop taking me for a fool and stop playing games. Just stop being so weird! Act like your freakin self!

March Break

So, what I really wanted to blog about was my personal life.
But, I lack one so... That's what Ashley said to me on the way home on the bus today.
I was trying to convince her to make a blog so she can rant online, instead of at me.
She asked what I blogged about, and I responded: "Random thoughts, things I think are interesting, rants, issues that are important to me, my personal life..."
As I trailed off, she asked: "Personal life? What personal life? You don't have one!" Hahaha.
It was funny at the time. I love her nonetheless.

Anyways. To summarize my March Break - which is what I was going to blog about - IT WAS AWESOME.
I had so much fun. It was probably one of the best March Breaks in the history of my life. I mean, the Little NHL is always fun, but I had a BLAST this past week. (I love how it gets more in detailed as I go along. :P)
Basic breakdown:

Friday: Ashley comes over.

Saturday: Angie and Megan go to the Sharks game.

Sunday: Angie and Megan stay awake all night watching chick flicks and sleep all day. Angie's parents wake up Angie and Megan at 12. Megan goes to hockey games.

Monday: Megan goes for jog with Josh. Josh and Megan go to Vanessa's house. Then, for pre-birthday celebrations, Megan, Josh, Vanessa, Charlene and Cruzel go to Pickel Barrel. Waiter refuses to sing happy birthday. Megan, Josh, Char and Zela go to Char's house.

Megan drives around the neighbourhood with Heather in the car. Angie arrives. Gio arrives. Many people go to Mandarin. Same people follow to Megan's house. People leave, except Sharlene, Charlene, Heather, and Angie. They (+Megan) go to hockey game and take funny pictures. Charlene, Heather, Angie and Megan play twister and charades.

Wednesday: Charlene leaves at midnight thirty.

Important news bulletin: I just found out that Cloud got a HONDA CIVIC for his birthday! MAJORLY JEALOUS.

... Angie, Heather and Megan continue to play charades. Megan falls asleep while watching What A Girl Wants for the second time in three days. Megan, Heather and Angie wake up, curl Megan's hair and freak out about what to wear. Except Heather - she didn't freak out. Megan, Angie and Heather take subway in heels to We Will Rock You! BEST SHOW EVER. Angie goes home. Megan and Heather go to home-style restaurant called The Golden Griddle.

Thursday: Heather goes home. Megan cleans her room. Family arrives. Megan spends time with family.

Friday: Megan drives some more and hangs with family. David's friends come over to play hockey - typical. More family arrives. Megan accidentally calls Patrick Austin. Ooopsies. :)

Saturday: Full car goes to watch hockey. Some family leaves. Church and mega-meal.

Sunday: Rest of the family leaves. Megan does homework. MORE hockey.

K... Why I wrote that in third person, I do not know. Hockeys been really frequent lately. It's play offs so it's getting REALLY interesting. Plus, David's in a tourney now so there's going to be a lot of games. There's one in a few hours. I am STARVED.

I'm going to go call Ashley and make myself some nachos. :)
Mmmmmm... Great, now I want Indian nachos. So much better than normal ones.

LEMONS ARE NOW CALLED YELLOWS.

Okay. So, if you want to do me a REALLY HUGE FAVOUR or help start a new trend,
then PLEASE

PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE

start referring to lemons as yellows.
Why are oranges called oranges? Are we really that un-original.
Call lemons yellows.

Please.
We're trying to make it a global thing.
Right now, there is only a minority of people calling them yellows.
The three main countries that this happens in are Canada, India and Egypt. Soon the United States.

Please help us make the fruit yellows a common word in all households and grocery stores. :D

Thank you very berry much. ;)

Beauty and the Beast

AAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
(I already posted a note on FB, so, I'm just going to copy and paste.)

Omg. I love this movie.I forgot how much I love this movie. :D
It's soooooooooooo cute.

Beast: I want to do something nice for her.
Clogsworth: Well... There's the usual things: flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend on keeping.

Mrs. Pots, singing: There may be something there that wasn't there before.
Chip: What's there, Mama?
Mrs Pots, speaking: I'll tell you when you're older.

I love that song. Something There. :D

Beast gets a haircut by the coat hanger.
Lumiere: VOILA! Oh! You look so.. so...Shows Beast with curls and bows.
Beast: Stupid.
Lumiere: Um... Not quite.
Cut into Tale as Old As TimeI absolutely LOVE this song.

One of my FAVOURITE Disney songs. EVER. It's so cute, and the words are magical. He's so sweet... He gives her the magic mirror to see her Father, which is ultimately his downfall. Kind of.

Beast: I let her go.
Clogsworth: Why?
Beast: I had to... I love her.
GAW. N
O GASTON! NO! DON'T KILL THE BEAST!!!!
I get WAY too into movies. Especially of the Disney Variety.
I love how they play Be Our Guest while the animated servants fight with the villagers.
LOL. Major aw. Clogsworth saves Lumiere. Then Lumiere saves the duster. :) ♥
OH NO! GASTON! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!BEAST! NO! HURRY BELLE! HURRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY!
Oh thank goodness. She made it.
Aw, she gives him a reason to live. ...NOOOO!
Gaston just stabbed the Beast. Then plunged to his death.
Serves him right. Arrogant asshole.
Omg. I can't watch. Awwwww!
"At least I got to see you one last time."
K. Cue the cheesy Disney ending that I love. :D
.. What the hell are the pink raindrops?
OH! It's the DISNEY MAGIC. ;D
Why hello there Prince Charming. ;)
OMG. GORGEOUS EYES RIGHT THERE.
And all of a sudden, there kiss causes so much of a spark that there are fireworks.
Sigh. No wonder girls get a misperception of love.

Chip: Are they gonna live happily ever after, Mama?
Mrs. Pots: Of course, my dear.

DUH. IT'S A DISNEY MOVIE.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. LOVE THE ENDING.

I love the Beast's fangs. How he has an atroscious underbite.
I love Belle's yellow dress. You can NOT find a ball gown like that.
I love how when the Beast coughs or gulps, it's extra extra LOUD.
I love how the Enchantress only gave Beast until his 21st birthday, and during Be Our Guest, Lumiere says it's been ten years since then. Does that mean he was 11 when the Enchantress came? What 11 year old lacks love?
I love how I notice all these little details that I didn't notice when I was younger.
I love how despite all these mistakes, I still love the movie.

I'm envious of Belle. That library is huge.
I want it. It's the dream library.
In the words of Sharlene, what I wouldn't give to have that many books.

Btw, sorry for the pointless note.I just wanted to gush. :)

Anyways... Yeah.
It's so cute. I love it. :)

I'm going to ask Megan if I can write an article on it.
Randomly.
LOL.

I AM the Zombie Queen

Jonathan. Jonathan. Jonathan.
*Shakes head in disapointment*
Silly silly you.

I am the Zombie Queen. :)
You cannot eat my brains, minion.
And mutiny is used for sailors rebelling against their captains.

And, no, I did not search "how to kill a zombie" on google.
I know how to kill one based on the numerous books of gramayre - magic - that I've read.
I told you, I'm the Queen of Dorks.
Do not mess with the Queen.
You'll be scorched.
And die.
Cause your a zombie. :)
Because you have no brain. :)
Thus, you cannot think. :)

... I did not call you a shower, I called you a douche.
LOFL.
Just to let you know. :)

quite possibly.
i have to admit, there are some damn hot emos/ goths out there.
i know the words aren't interchangable but..
there are also some VERY hot atheists.

first: my friend dan last spring.
he sparked the obsession.
second: the guys in sault ste marie.
they just fanned the flames.

CHACE CAMERON. HOTTEST EMO EVER.

we're cool cause we play with sprinklers. i mean sparklers!

yes, yes, we played with sparklers.
at 11 pm.after david's hockey game.
and we would be ashley, anne and myself.
lmao.

we also gave each other makeovers - which included some bad eye shadow and red eye liner on me, some purple eyes for ashley and way too much glitter on anne.
ashley pretended to be batman, but she couldnt fly.a
nd we played twister croatian style until 3 am.
we also straightened ashley's beautifully frizzy hair (:P)
and stalked.
and stalked.
and stalked some more.

we also talked to the queen of stalkers herself, jess. twas hilarious.
we were all trying to sit on the one chair, but that didnt work... did it?
ashley fell off, then i accidentally kicked her.not to mention ryan, like wth?
ASHLEY: HE HAS NO LIFE!

we fought over Bob the gangster bunny, who anne slept with.
of course, he's still with me - so thus i win.now, im all alone.id just thought id share that. :D

PS: We're on a boat. LMAO. BEST SONG EVER. Second to Bimbo #5
I'm on a boat (I'm on a boat)
I'm on a boat (I'm on a boat)
Everybody look at me 'cause I'm sailing on a boat (sailing on a boat)
I'm on a boat (I'm on a boat)
I'm on a boat
Take a good hard look at the motherfucking boat (boat, yeah)

One, two, three, four, six
Everybody in the car, let's go have sex,
To the hotel around the corner,
The girls want to do the president,
But I really don’t wan-na
Get caught like I did last year
I'll find a new girl with a great big rear,
I had Monica, and Jennifer, Paula, and Kathleen
And maybe five other girls in be-tween
But I like to try a new piece of pork
When old pumpkin legs is in New York
If she’s alive I will try to jump her,
Then I will dump her.
(Chorus)
a little bit of Monica, ohh no more
a little bit of Jennifer, out the door
a little bit of Paula, on the bed
a little bit of Hillary, now I'm dead!
Bimbo number five!

Pull your pants down,
And toss it on the ground,
Now bark like a hound,
And I'll make a doggy sound,
I'll chase you,
And you chase me,
And if I get caught,
Will you spank my fanny please?
Clap your hands once,
Here’s a big surprise,
Everyone was wrong,
It points to the right!

(Chorus)
Monica’s gone away
Maybe Miss. America would come and play
A little bit of Brittany would be nice
A little bit of Hillary I'm on ice
Bimbo number 5!
Booty Call!
(Spoken)Hey baby!
Have you ever been involved in a forty billion investigation?
As a matter of fact my condoms do have the presidential seel on them
Hey, want to see the Eagles beak get real big
(ha ha ha ha ha)
Note to myself: Nail her later
(Chorus)A little bit of Monica, ohhh no more,
A little bit of Jennifer, out the door,
Jennifer Lopez, in my bed,
A little bit of Hillary, now I'm dead!

(Talking)Oh I do love New York!
Won't you please elect my wife?
Ya know, get her out of the house,
'cos yeah I got yard work to do, yeah that's right
Yard Work
Oh, excuse me? Bimbo number Six?

hockey tourny. :D

omg, my brother's team (DOWNSVIEW BEAVERS SELECT!) are playing in a tourny this weekend.
if anybody cares, the hockey has been GREAT.
they did astounding this morning, winning against Brampton 3-1.
and the goal they scored was cheap.

then, they vsd the North York Knights and they tied with goose eggs.
nobody really played except for my brother, and Gian Carlo.
other players played decently, but not to their full potential.
ie: mark, patrick, etc.
austin, who somehow won mvp, did not play AT ALL.

anyways, it was a really good game for david.
i was so mad, and i was screaming a lot more than usual.
my face was warm with all the excitement.
my heart stopped. lol.

LONGEST FIFTEEN MINUTES OF MY LIFE.

Feb 6, 2009

sigh.

i miss certain things.
that i still have.
but i miss them none the less.

lately ive been thinking.
sometimes people will ask me, if you go back to one night or one moment that you could relive again, what would it be?
and i always reply: "Nothing. The past is the past."
really, in Megan, that means no time in my life was ever perfect.
In light of recent events however, I've noticed there were plenty of times that were perfect because of their imperfections...

For example, the time when I was sick and I had to lay down in the office and Cruzel never left my side until my mom came. That was a perfect moment, despite the fact that I felt horrible, I also felt cared for.

Or the time when I completely embarrassed myself and was so freaked out of the Ring at Ilish's Halloween party. There was just Cruzel, Ilish and me, and it scarred me for life, but then again that's one of my most memorable moments.

I don't remember when it was, but there's so many of just chilling at Charlene's - doing nothing. I may have been bored, but I miss being bored at Char's.

Perfect moments happen all the time.
Unfortunately, we're too blind to see them until after they're gone.
And the thing about perfect moments is that if you try to remember it too hard, you're losing the moment.

xoxo,
AntiPrincess

PS: The time of my life that was absolutely perfect. Nothing could go wrong. I wish I could go back. It inspired this blog:
One of the best weeks of my life.

Feb 3, 2009

Sick like a dog who ate too much cocoa.

Yeah... Me = sick.
I'm not going to go into too much detail, but I woke up.
Had a killer stomach ache.
Curled up into feedle position on the cold bathroom floor.
The cold made me feel better.
I called my mom, she said to just relax until I got better.
So, I got a cold cloth and put it on my stomach, cuddled up with my cat and fell asleep.
I tried to eat something at around 12.
It didn't go too well.
I felt pretty sick again, but not as bad as in the morning.
So, I woke up like 20 minutes ago and I'm reading.
I'm probably going to post - OMGSH!
Stories of A Girl. Not my JoBro fanfic.
They've both been dismantled.
I might go lay down again, on second thought since I just got hit with a wave of exhaustion.

My theory is that my stomach is swollen.
That's what it feels like.
And since cold makes the swelling decrease, the cold being a good thing makes sense.
Correct?

Yeah. Have fun at school, friends. :)

EW.

Just thought I'd share that.
Since Cruzel and I, my best friend forever, had such a great time.
Selon moi, that is.
Mall Cop was pretty good, except I laughed overly loud and I kept talking overly loud.
Ooops. My apologies.

In regards to the fly, it was attracted to the light of the screen then got blinded and flew into the dark - hence, i could not see it - and then it was in my nose.
But it flew out, and I squished it. Ew.

Anyways, I had a great time at the movies.
We need to do it again, SOON!

Quote of the day:

*Note: Not my opinion. I have nothing against Turkish people. But this made me laugh.

Megan: do you like sherbets?
Dan: no!
Megan: why not?
Dan: wtf is a sherbet? where did this name come from? was it someones name?
Megan: The word "sherbet" is from Turkish "şerbet", which is from Persian/Urdu "شربت", which in turn comes from "sharbat", Arabic "sharba" a drink, from "shariba" to drink. Also called "sorbet", which comes from French "sorbet", from Italian "sorbetto" and in turn from Turkish "şerbet".
Dan: fkn turks

lmao.
i died. :D

Jan 24, 2009

apparently, there's a rumour that im a sexy beast?

im not going to explain the title, because even i dont know how that got started (cough, angie).

so, last night was hilarious.
friday night. end of a extra long week - for me at least. it just felt long. lots of hockey, lots of exhaustion, little reading. jess and anne were supposed to come over after school. of course, this was planned last minute since ive lately become a last minute person. oh well.
anyways, because its so last minute, angie once again can come last minute.
so: angie, jess, anne and myself take the bus home to my place.
we're extra loud on the bus, not on purpose, but we're hilariously loud.
we all try to quiet ourselves, but it doesn't work.
me and angie are singing theme songs from family channel.
the emperor's new school, recess, total drama island (i know thats not from family channel), etc.
we get to my place and continue to have a blast at jess' expense.
sorry jess. :P
we're eating and SOMEHOW we get into the continuing argument of whether or not animals have souls.. it leads into whether or not without our souls we can function, whether cannibalism is wrong, etc. etc.
It's Angie plus moi vs Anne et Jess.
Jess proved our point (chickens have souls!) like three times.
(BTW, MIGHT I ADD THAT MR. FEMIA SAID THAT THEY DO HAVE SOULS!)
Of course, someone will say a funny comment now and then and we'll all laugh.
It was a friendly argument but we were all getting pretty upset.
We try to use the Soya sauce as the mediator - whoever has the bottle can talk. But my brother needed the bottle, so we decide to use the cutting board.
Angie puts the cutting board on top of her head and goes, "Jesus' halo." We all burst out laughing, and at the very second before I took a swig of milk.
I spit the milk everywhere classically and we start laughing doubly hard.
The same thing happens again when I'm using mouthwash instead of brushing my teeth before we go skating, because brushing my teeth would take too long. Then Jess and Anne are using their flailing limbs of terror to argue again and I spit mouthwash all over the sink. Of course, some comes out my nose and I still feel the burning sensation of mint in my nose.

So, Sharlene and Kathleen arrive at my house at like 6. We all go skating. It was pretty fun.

I started this blog on Saturday night, and it's now Monday after school.

BLEH!

Anyways, I'm looking up summer employment.
Not too happy about it.
And I'm too lazy to blog so whatevers.

oh no, what have i done?
oh no, what have i become?
the monster inside of me is taking control
whoa oh, i dont want to be a monster

ive been singing that song all morning
and i dont even remember all the words.
or the artist.
or the title for that matter.
i just remember the tune.

SHOUT OUT TO SHARLENE.
THE COOLEST CHICK EVER.

Jan 19, 2009

results for a personality test?

Extraversion
Some people like lots of stimulation; they want people around them, activity and excitement, whilst others prefer to be able to focus on things in a calm and quiet environment. Most people prefer a blend of the two extremes and your answers suggest that you are quite comfortable in either situation. You can probably cope with things being a bit hectic or a bit quiet but, like most people, you may find extremes in either direction uncomfortable or annoying.
Confidence
Some people make decisions very easily and tend not to worry about them before or afterwards while, at the other extreme, some people are so careful and cautious that the decisions never get made! Taking a cautious approach can be a good thing (do you want to fly with a pilot that is so free from worry and concern that she never checks her controls and instruments and doesn't bother to communicate with air-traffic control?) and you seem to have described yourself as someone who does tend to be quite cautious and careful. This can be very important in detailed work or areas were mistakes can have a major cost although you may find yourself avoiding risks and many cautious people wish they were bolder.
Openness
While some people like experimenting with new things and ideas, others prefer traditional methods and taking a very practical approach to problems.
Your answers suggest that you may more interested in the creative, new and experimental aspects of situations than dealing with the routine practicalities. While your dreams and plans may not always be achievable, you are likely to be very open to new ideas and ways of doing things.
Agreeableness
Most people want to be able to get on with others but to some it is the most important thing in the world, whilst others are quite happy to upset someone else if it means that things get done.
Your answers suggest that getting on with people is very important to you, that you may well be eager to help others and avoid disagreements, perhaps sometimes even when you think you should be firmer with them.
Conscientiousness
Some people like everything to be well planned, tidy and organised, whilst others prefer to deal with things as they come up and appear to work in absolute chaos.
Your answers suggest that, like most people, you like to have a little clarity about where things are but that you would rather cope with some things as they arise than spend too much time sorting out every single detail. This approach may help you when working with teams and also when having to deal with those situations that you just can't plan for.

Just felt like sharing. :)

too much homework, not enough brain power

If you really want to, go back a week ago and read that blog.
It should summarize the babble below.

I cannot focus, again.
I researched the stupid history assignment that we have, and I'm trying to start my religion essay on the manipulative powers of the media. There's one problem, I completely forget all that my teacher taught us, and thus I am struggling.
Usually, when I'm told to write essays, they come to me pretty easily especially when I've been paying attention.
I guess that's the problem: this unit bores me, and I disagree with a lot of it so I'm not paying attention. I'm more lost in my own thoughts about media and individualism and how these ideals have helped me so much throughout my life. Well, the ideals of individualism at least.

I think I'll read over the notes, highlight some key things - look up hegemony - and get back to work.

Smank you for reading.

Snowglobe Analogy

"It's funny how sometimes when things are turned upside down when you least expect it, everything gets so much more beautiful. And yet that's how it is with snow globes, why people buy them, or some people collect hundreds of them, lining them up on shelves in their houses, so that the insides of their houses are filled with hundreds of worlds. All ready to be turned over. Allr eady to be shaken up and then righted so that the snow swirls around inside, masking the scene for a few moments before it keeps swirling past, and instead of a blizzard, it's barely a sprinkling, then nothing. And it's in that final moment, as the snow settles back down to the bottom of the globe and the last few flakes drift lazily down, that you can really see everything clearly. Can see what has become of the figures inside. The ones locked in their dance, unable to change anything. It's then that you realize that's all there is, just the flip and the shake and the settle. And there's nothing beautiful in that at all."

Jan 16, 2009

I wasn't all that surprised when Cinderella gave me the finger

"The thing about believing is that it's dangerous. The world can turn upside down in an instant, and just when you think you're on top of everything, you're under it. Believing in something, someone, is hard. Sometimes when you let yourself fall too far, suddenly it's gone.

Btw,

I forgot to mention...
I'M GOING TO NEW YORK!

Someday My Prince Will Come...

First off: I love Alex. :) Or should I say Alpalexpix?
Just thought I would make that obvious.

I've had a lack of books in my life. So, I read this book called Dream Factory.
In four hours.
Not bad.
Not like a new record or anything, but not bad.
Now I can start on Weatherwitch.
I felt really good about myself because I went into the Adult Fiction Section and picked out a book. The other adults were looking at me because I was clearly in the LAT kilt.
Anyways..

It's really ironic. The two main characters don't believe in fairytales but in the end, their fairytales come true. Really ironic.
I like books where you can relate to the character's mindset, where I most often steal quotes.

However, this book made me think about my thoughts, my ideas, my - just a sec, my brother's phone is ringing.

Moving on, I don't believe in fairy tales. And if you know me, you're probably thinking what? But I don't. I resent Disney for making us believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming and setting our hopes extraordinarily high. It just sets up young girls who don't find true love or immediate happy endings to have their hopes (and their hearts) crushed. The higher your hopes, the more they fall.

But then again, I believe in perfect gentlemen, and finding your happy ending. I believe that happiness can be found. I mean, I'm happy. Almost constantly. I know that I'm a lot happier than I was a few years ago. Yet, somehow I feel that I've lost myself. I definitely know that I don't love the outdoors or animals as much as I used to. I mean, it hurts majorly when my cat will ignore me because I've been studying for a test or working and I don't set out time for her like I used to. I try to, but ...

Ugh. See, I'm confused.
What's the moral of the story?
I guess that everyone finds their happy endings. Just not in a fairy tale way.
I guess I'm stuck in the middle.
I guess thinking about this makes me remember the pessimistic thoughts inside of my head that are still very much so, alive.
There's no such thing as true happiness, there's just moments where you're distracted from your sadness.
Depressing huh?
Luckily, my life is full of these moments and I'm pretty much always distracted. :)

Happy wishes,
AntiPrincess

UPDATES.

Hey guys.
WHAT'S UP?!?!?!

Mini golfing on Friday was DA ULTIMATE BOMB.
Yeah, aren't I coool?
I know, I'm lame.

So then, mini golfing was hilarious.
More on that later.

Last night, I went to David's hockey game.
It was pretty good, they won 7-2.
Gian Carlo is playing again, which is good. But it's only a call-up type of dealy thing (as my beloved Megan would say). David thinks he might re-join the team, which would be both awesome and unfortunate for unfortunate reasons.
Unfortunately, Anthony has an injured knee from our last select game. :(
Hope he feels better.

Bells gonna ring soon.
I'll blog more later.

Math test today.
Wish me luck.

CAREERS.

Yes, so I'm in CAREEERS.

SCARY.

It really is. Our portfolio is due today, and I did it last minute - which is not like me. Usually, I'll do it the night before, yes, but not at eleven at night. Usually, I get home right away, work, eat while I work, then finish at about eight. Last night, however, I got home, and my cousin - Steph the awesome - wanted to go to MEC at King and Spadina. So, we ate a quick dinner, got out of my uniform and took the subway down. My mom said she would pick us up at the same subway station at eight. So, we went down to MEC and omg! IT'S HUGE. It's all supplied with stuff like snowboarding, kayaks, sporty clothing, thermal underwear, bike stuff, water bottles, camping stuff, etc. It was pretty cool. I discovered how much of a spoiled city kid I've becomed. It's quite sad. So, Steph vowed to un-city-fy me over the summer by taking me camping. Yippee. Sleeping on the cold earth in a bug-filled tent.

Doesn't sound that bad. Mais, my inner city kid is clenching. Oh well, I'll rough it. I will be un-citified!!! (I'm trying out the different spellings. Is it city-fied or citified?) Anyways, so we finished shopping - I got two pairs of thermal leggings, two hats and a booklight - with the giftcards I earned through the CN Tower Climb. Steph bought me a hat for Christmas, and a delicious hot chocolate with extra whipped cream, extra vanilla powder and extra chocolate sprinkles from Second Cup that we shared. Instead of taking a street car back to the subway station, like we did to get to MEC, we walked. We passed two theatres, a church and the CN Tower. We pretended like we were going to go see Dirty Dancing and the Sound of Music. People gave us weird looks, it was fun.

So, we almost missed our stop on the subway - but we didn't. That's the important thing. We were there right on time, then we went to my brother's hockey game, where we had an intense talk about environmentalism. It was interesting, but a lot of times my views are shared. Ie: Leather is bad. The cow was probably skinned alive or electrocuted vaginally or beheaded while conscious. This cow deserves to live its life. On the other hand, we can use this same cow for meat, which we've been doing since the beginning of time - basically. Then again, meat farms are the number one cause of global warming because of all the pollution they produce. I don't know. I guess I still eat cow, but I won't wear leather?

ANYWAYS. OFF TOPIC. We got home after the game at like 10:30. I showered, then started working on my portfolio. I finished at 1-ish. At least I finished. Sigh.

Now, Mr. Career Teacher is collecting the portfolios and doing interviews. I'm scared. REALLY scared. I'm going to fail miserably. Oh well...

Tonight, Megan, Gio and I are going mini-golfing. Yippee. (: Hopefully. Megan isn't in class, so I don't know if she's coming or not. And Gio is sick, so I'm not sure. If not, then I guess I'll hang out with Steph some more. Sharlene (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) says I've been deprived. I probably have. Oh well. :P

I say that a lot.

Made my day:

At MEC, Steph was looking at the computer. She jumped when it called someone. Hilarious.
At David's hockey game, the teams switched sides at the end of the second. Steph was yelling at the other goalie then said suddenly, "Wait. That's not David."

So I have two for today. BLEH.

Recipe for Hot Cocoa

Good news: I'm almost done.
Bad news: I still can't focus.
Good news: I now have the best tasting hot cocoa to drink.
Bad news: I made a mess.

Recipe:
First, take your Loretto Abbey mug and pour in two large tablespoons of hot chocolate mix.
Next, warm up a cup of 1% milk for 45 seconds in your Energy Star microwave.
Repeat step 2 for another 15.
Repeat step 2 for another 20.
Pour milk that has been warmed up for a total of 1:20 into the mix.
Cup should be almost full.
Warm up about an inch of 1% milk for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Watch milk spill all over your microwave.
Clean up spilt milk.

Now, warm up about an inch of 1% milk for 45 seconds.
Pour it into hot chocolate.
Pour another teaspoon into the hot chocolate.
Stir.
Sip.
Drink away. :)

I love it. It's the best hot chocolate I've ever had.
Now, I'm sure it would taste better if it were steamed but oh well.
There's water in the teapot so... :)

Enjoy.

PS: Can anybody help me with the question:
"How does Macbeth’s soliloquy “If it were done” both create sympathy for him and destroy sympathy for him?" (Act 1, Scene 7)

cannot focus

Par usual, I cannot focus on my english homework.
Surprised? Not one bit.
I have someone on my mind who probably shouldn't be there but whatever.
I need to focus and I can't.
I thought maybe making a blog would help?
I think it has.
Back to Macbeth.

PS: I love this play. Just not the homework that goes with it.
PPS: This reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Bart takes drugs to make him focus in class. Can I get some?

Back Home

So, since the thirty first I've been in Ottawa!
Well, technically, Stittsville/ Kanata.
I was sick but we still went anyways, and thankfully, I got to sleep in the truck and felt a lot better. My headache went away and I could eat again without feeling sick. So.... Thumbs up.

So, we arrived in Ottawa to visit my cousins and my grandparents, who were visiting while they watched the WORLD JUNIORS. YEAH! Anyways, my three cousins - between the ages of three and nine - were completely surprised. (: We played with them for a bit but had to get ready to go to the Canada vs USA game!

IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME.
The fans were crazy, it was intense and there were uber amounts of cute guys!
We were sitting way high up, but we had a really nice view of everything. We were surrounded by Americans, except for four guys behind us - who were hilarious. At one point, they were chanting: "Let's go beer guy!" for a good ten minutes. I could not stop laughing. Or, at the end of the second they were screaming: "PULL THE GOALIE! PULL THE GOALIE!" So, the American fans were happy for the first three goals, screaming IN YOUR FACE when I booed, naturally. However, after our comeback and my brother and I were like: "WHAT NOW, LOSERS?!" they pretty much stayed quiet. It was so much fun, I loved it.

So, we went home and celebrated New Years. We watched some TV specials, had some cake and cookies and I played some Wii with the girls. The full four days we were there, all our spare time was dedicated to playing Wii. My muscles hurt. Uber much. On the first, the girls woke me up early and we went skating. Again, there were so many cute guys! We played hockey but I haven't played in a really really really really long time so I sucked. Then, we came home, played some more Wii, etc. On the second, it was my cousin's birthday party so they got to sleep in. David wanted to go skating again on the same outdoor rink, so my dad and I went with him at like 9 am. He helped me improve my hockey skills (or lack there of) and told me the main problem was that I was thinking too much and I needed to lean forward now. I feel like I really improved, except my lower back is KILLING ME to this very moment from "leaning forward". On the plus side, I can now stop and do the cross-over thing. On the down side, my body aches and I can't practice because there's no outdoor rinks in Toronto. I even made a list of why I like academics better:
1) I'm actually good at them.
2) I can tell when I'm improving.
3) It doesn't involve physical exurtion.
4) It doesn't hurt anything except my brain.

Lol. Yes... But, that was a joke. So, we came back from skating at 11, got ready and went to my cousin's indoor soccer birthday party. It was pretty fun. I didn't get to play because my thighs were killing me from doing suicides so I had to watch. Not that I was complaining. The kids were on a bit later than they should've been so there were about fifteen cute guys waiting to go on that I was casually flirting with. We got to eat a bunch of fries and chicken strips and chocolate icecream cake. Then, we went home early so my cousin could have some fun with her friends. While we were waiting for them to get home, my grandparents, David and I tried to go to Bayshore mall. We found it, we saw it, then we passed it. Their GPS didn't tell us how to get in and we couldn't find an entrance. Oh well. So, we went back to my uncle's house, played with the girls for a bit and then my uncle, my cousin, my grandpa and me went to the Czech Slovakia vs USA game.

It was hilarious because all the Canadian fans were cheering for Slovakia and even attempted some Slovak cheers. My brother's coach, Phil - who had tickets to all the games - was on the bigscreen. So, USA lost and all the Canadians were happy. :D That game was at 3:30, but we didn't get home until 6:45! So, the girls and I played some more Wii, ate some cookies and some more cake, and just hung out. It was fun. :)

I really had a good time. And I'm liking my horoscope. Which reminds me, I was at my cousin's indoor soccer thing and I ordered some fries before the kids got off. Of course, it ended up being for the group and out of my wallet but whateves. ANYWAYS, I see the Metro. I don't know why I thought it would be the Toronto Metro, but I did. So, I pick it up and start reading it. Then I say a bit too loudly, "This isn't Toronto!" and the lady behind the counter says, "No," and gives me a you're-such-an-idiot look. Oh well.

Conclusion of this blog:
I loved Ottawa. I love the world juniors. I love the Canadian world junior team. I'm back from -30 degree temperatures and school starts on Monday.

PS: I spent most of my phone bill texting an old friend. The friendship seems to be rekindling. And it was all by accident. :)

PPS: That reminds me, my new year resolutions:
To be more social.
To take more risks.
To think less.
To be more charitable. :)
