A Bit Calmer

Okay... So a few seconds ago, I like spazzed at my keyboard b/c I was pissed.

But, I read some friendly PETA facts and they made me feel a lot better. :)

Hug A Veggie day was a great success. :) In fact, there were major sign ups on peta2.com and apparently, there were loads of people who said that they would try to go vegg. So, YAY HUG A VEGGIE DAY!!! I've also been inspired to swear off pork. Yes, that means no bacon! But... it's a start.

BLURB!: 2/3rds of North Americans would rather be stranded on a dessert island with their animal companion(s) rather than their human partner.
I find that absolutely adorable. :) It gives me hope that maybe not everyone hates animals in this present day and age.

But after reading the explanation at PETA, I understand that it's related to SPAYING AND NEUTERING YOUR PETS. Which, you should totally do! The pet population is constantly growing, and if you want a puppy - go to the humane society. Don't let your dog's puppies be orphaned. Don't let your dog have puppies!

Um, also... Okay. I love PETA and all... but milk is milk. I don't see the harm in it. Yeah, sure... Nobody would like to get their udder squeezed and some dairy farmers are INCREDIBLY CRUEL! But you buy milk from an Ontario farmer and you're safe. But the article about College guys spewing was pretty funny. :)

The horseracing industry made some new groundrules today to make horse racing safer for the athletes! Woo hoo! Victory for horses. :)

Yeah.. All these victory and/or funny stories made me feel better. :)

So, sorry for spazzing but I'm still mad about it.

TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

yesterday was my first time participating in the event listed in the title of cette blog. [is blog feminin ou masculin?]

anyways, it was TRES TRES AWESOME!!! kathy and anissa and i went to Downsview Dells park and did some major clean up. we had fun, but it was hard work cleaning. i managed not to get too dirty and not to get infected. yay me. :) [neither did kathy nor anissa, lol] we found some pretty gruesome stuff. like two old couches, a pair of trousers, and a bag of snails and fireants. WHO COLLECTS SNAILS?! we found a lot of random stuff like an old radio, and a carborator. weird, huh?
what i dont understand is how people can just litter like that?! HONESTLY!! is it that hard to walk to the end of your driveway? or is it easier for you to go down to the river and throw stuff out?

yeah... its a beautiful park and was such a shame that its so poluted.
but it was pretty fun.
too bad mabbz and stitch couldnt come.
anyways, stay green. :D *thumbs up*

OMG. BAD DAY VS GOOD DAY.

Okay, so... I found out that Sarah Palon might be the new VP for the States.

BAD, BAD THING!!!

She encourages animals to be hunted from planes, and has a price on the head of wolves. WHEN THEY ARE ENDANGERED!!! Thats cruel and mean. Please, don't vote her.

Then, Mabbs and Stitch came over and we had LOADS of fun. We made a few different videos to Video Girl - most of which were either completely stupid or completely unsuccesful but we had fun none the less. Then we did some mock karaoke and like, ate. Ew. Then, we walked Gio home and there was this cat. Gio's like: "talk to it." So I meow, and it comes running over. Twas hilarious! Gio's like: "NO FREAKING WAY!"

It was really funny, they were calling me St. Francis of Assisi.
Anyways, we kidnapped Elise - Gio's awesome neighbour - from her house and brought her to Gio's. We took some pics and a stupid vid: which is now on YouTube. Find it yourselves!

Yeah, but I was really upset when I found out that Sara Palon or whatever is most likely to be the US's new VP. NO. VOTE AGAINST SARAH PALON!!!

Oh, and a really close family friend died today, so RIP. Pray for her, please.

snaaaaaaaaaaaake!

okay, so today we were walking home and the people in front of us (there's too many of people in our group, so we tend to walk in three mini-groups) were like: "OMG SNAKE!"

so i run up and pick it up. twas hilarity. they practically jumped like, 6 ft back while screaming. twas hilarious!! then stitch took some pics of the snake but not me with the snake - sigh - and yeah.

it was pretty funny.
then while we were waiting at the station, everybody kept showing up. it was like a party. first stitch's friend, Elise and her friend show up and we're like HEY! lol. then charmanduur and her friend show up and we're hanging with them. then we all go on the bus together. it was pretty funny. although hot bus boy aka Jesus Guy wasnt there. unfortunately.

then, on the bus, Elise's friend Jess is like: "OMG! BIG ROB!" so we start talking about the JoBros. it was pretty funny. :)

now, if you'll excuse me, im going to go try to save the burnt potatoes that i was supposed to be cooking. ooopsies. :)

school/new blog

hello peoplez.


well, first day of school today.
not too much to say.
i had a general good time - as good a time as you can have at SCHOOL.
tomorrow is gonna generally suck though, sheesh.
i locked myself out of my locker - arent i a dork?
i was rushing to get to homeroom so i opened my locker, threw everything in except my pencil case and binder [including my combo] and locked it.
i couldnt get anything out until the end of the day - noon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
anyways, then, gio, mabberz, rainn and i went to dorkdale.
we then got some awesome fruit juice, some bubble tea and lunch. :)
then, home.

well, not quite.. we walked around for two hours or so.

im on IM at the current moment and im now in a four-way conversation with charmanduur, queen stitches, queen mabb and moi. :) OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS.

i have classes with many people i know - unlike last year - so im happy. :)

well, recently ive been feeling very inspired and ive been wanting to spread the world about animal cruelty and the green movement and becoming eco-friendly. [you mayve noticed a few changes to the layout] ... but, since theres just SO much to do, with so many links and so many other blogs and stuff, i decided to make a new blogsite where its focused on animal rights and being eco-friendly. :) there'll be links, other blogs, an article database, facts, ways you can help, etc... and many cool ideas. :)
